Company
Built by the people who run the tabletop.
RiskTrace comes from Frontier Cyber, a security consultancy in Vancouver. Every module exists because a client needed it in a real engagement.
Why RiskTrace exists
The register the board could read.
Frontier Cyber runs security programmes for public sector, health and regulated organisations in Canada. The work kept producing the same artefacts: a risk register written for the people who own the decision, controls mapped once and reported against several frameworks, tabletop exercises that found the gaps a questionnaire never would, and a board brief that showed its evidence.
We built tooling to produce those artefacts well, then kept building until it was a platform. RiskTrace is that platform, released as a product so that security leaders, consultancies and MSSPs can run the same programme without us in the room.
It is in build now. The company and the product are working toward SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 42001, and the site will say so plainly when each is achieved.

Principles
How we decide what to build.
Evidence over assurance
A claim about readiness is worth what the record behind it is worth. The product is designed to produce the record.
People decide
Automation and AI propose; a named person approves with a reason. The audit trail shows who decided what.
Residency is a property, not a promise
Where data lives is configured and visible in the product, not asserted in a document.
Business language first
If an executive cannot read the risk, it is not finished. Technical detail is one click deeper, never in the way.
API first
Anything the screen does, your tooling can do. The platform is a system of record, not a destination.
Say what is true
We publish what is achieved. Roadmap items are labelled as roadmap, on this site and in the product.
The Frontier Cyber family
Three products, one standard of evidence.
Trace risk. Reduce impact.
RiskTrace is in build. Leave your work email and you will get one message when the doors open.
